In 1999, two journalists established Malaysiakini with a mission to provide Malaysians with a news service that would hold power to account.
Over the past 20 years, Malaysiakini has covered four prime ministers (well, three actually), five general elections, countless by-elections and seen the arrest of three of its journalists.
We faced debilitating cyber-attacks, were kicked out of press conferences time and again and raided by the police at least five times.
But we are here to stay.
On November 23, Malaysiakini will mark its 20th anniversary. Join us at the Pullman Hotel in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur and let us continue to tell truth to power - together.
