  • Four tolls abolished

    Four tolls abolished in Selangor, Kedah, Johor. Federal Highway will be completely free from Jan 1, 2018.

  • Lower income tax

    Lower income tax for those making RM20k to RM70k.

  • Civil servant handout

    RM 1,500 for each civil servant next year. RM750 for retired civil servants.

  • No BR1M increase

    BR1M payment of RM1,200 to be maintained.

  • Bumiputera empowerment

    More than RM3.5 billion allocated, mainly for scholarships and training schemes.

    More flexibility for PTPTN repayment for students from B40 households.

    Senior citizens and disabled persons allowance increased to RM350 and RM100 respectively.

    Local government services exempted from GST.

    50% tax cut on rental income up to RM2,000 a month.

  • Agricultural boost

    RM 6.6 billion for farmers and fishermen, including infrastructure and handouts.

  • Perks for GLC staff

    Among the perks are higher profit shares, flexible benefits and work arrangements.

  • Beefed-up security forces

    Budget boost to combat extremism; more homes to be built for police and military.

  • Kiddie trust account

    Children born between 2018 and 2022 to be given RM200 trust account via PNB.

  • Tax-free Pulau Pangkor

    Pulau Pangkor declared tax-free zone.
